Barbara Domsky
There are many figurative elements to the artworks of Domsky Glass. Prince Shaman, Totem, Dream Pole are tall, vertical sculptures crafted from enchanting and regal glass forms and strong metallic shapes. The Warrior sculptures are less ambiguous and more anthropomorphic. Holding staffs and shields, they stand proud and bold within any art collection.
The Domsky’s develop artwork for both large-scale installations and gallery collections. Their fine art glass and artistic metal work is commissioned by private residents and corporations all over the world, including: Taiwan, China, New Zealand, Switzerland, Germany, Sweden, Africa, India, Australia, Mexico and throughout the United States.
Each artwork is a powerful individual in its own right, yet they are created in careful consideration for their environment, client and collector. Made from reflective materials, each work has a direct physical impact on the surrounding space and vice versa. Depending on the lighting conditions and dimensions of the space in which they are exhibited, the objects will change dramatically.
This creates an extremely personal relationship between the artist and collector, because the sculpture is altered significantly by the personal way that the latter chooses to place the artwork.
